Tender description

Loughborough University Library is seeking to adopt a new Library Management System which will support a mixed print and electronic information economy, effectively manage its electronic resources including meta-data and licenses and ensure quality of service provision to its patrons. The Library is seeking to ideally adopt a Library Management System that is offered by the vendor as ‘software as a service’. In doing so the key aim is to create more efficient processes and work-flows, and by making these efficiencies ensure services are delivered in a seamless, timely and effective manner. The Library is seeking to enter into a contract for an initial period of 5 years from implementation with an option to extend thereafter if both parties are in agreement for a further period or periods up to a total of 5 years taking the contract term to a maximum of 10 years.
