Tender description

Oslo University Hospital invites tenderers to a competition for the procurement of 1 pipetting robot for the microbiology department. 1 pipetting robot for the microbiology department. The department shall procure a pipetting robot for transferring and archiving EDTA plasma received for HIV-1 RNA, HCV RNA and HBV DNA analyses. Samples are received from the entire country and due to the material's shelf life, it can be necessary to de-pipette the plasma to a secondary glass and archive tube before analysis. Alternatively, only to an archive glass if the primary tube is put directly into the analysis instrument (DxN Veris). The received samples include different volumes and we would like as much of the remaining material as possible to be archived. There will, therefore, be different pipetting volumes for each sample. In order to maintain the quality of the sample material, it is also important that the pipetting robot stops collecting the plasma well before the gel is achieved. It is important that there is no contact with the gel as the samples must then be re-centrifuged in order to remove cell remains. There will be approx. 11 000 samples per annum for this. In addition the instrument shall also be used for archiving serum/plasma from samples for serological analyses, without shelf-life and distance from gel requirements. Approx. 70 000 samples are estimated per annum.
