Tender description

The City invites Tenders for the appointment of a Partner for a City Wireless Concession Contract. The Corporation will grant a concession to the Applicant (the Concessionaire) for use of the Corporations assets for an agreed period of time for the supply of wireless services with all infrastructure owned and operated by the Concessionaire and its mobile service provider clients. The key requirement of the wireless concession network is to: — Enhance the cellular/next generation wireless infrastructure as widely as is commercially feasible across the City of London which will, in turn, offer a world class wholesale network to wireless services providers and operators. This should be achieved by a concessionaire utilising the City of London Corporation asset base. — Extend and improve cellular capacity to ensure the provision of optimum coverage across the Square Mile (see map in Annex 7.5) to meet increasing data needs.
