Who Speclialist Work With You'll be working alongside our in-house team, and a fledgling PMO. You'll be expected to coach and mentor the team in good programme management practice, adopting pragmatic agile methodology. What Specialists Work On We are looking for a Technical Programme Manager to help deliver our ambitious digital transformation programme, implementing MS Dynamics 365, Azure and Office 365 Paas and IaaS. * Help us deliver the agreed business outcomes to time and budget. * Maintain the critical path of each project and the programme as a whole. * Assist the technical architects deliver Azure IaaS & PaaS environment * Train the in-house team * Develop effective reporting and communication to ensure senior stakeholders are kept up-to-date on project successes as well as mitigate major risks. * Be the person who makes it happen! Where the Work Takes Place Civic Centre, Chelmsford, Essex Early Market Engagement Working Arrangements The nature of the role requires you to be on site most of the working week, although we are open to remote working in the spirit of the digital transformation where this is sensible. All expenses should be covered in the day rate. Work Location Civic Centre, Chelmsford, Essex Security Clearance Additional T&Cs Skills & Experience Demonstrable evidence of technical prowess in delivering Azure IaaS & PaaS solutions in last 12 months Demonstrable experience of implementing MS Dynamics 365 programmes Understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) methods and standards. Familiarity with the Local Government IT Profession and cross government IT policies. Familiarity with relevant legislation pertaining to the Public-Sector IT – e.g. Data Protection Act, Information Assurance policy, GDPR awareness Knowledge of agile project management methodologies DevOps experience (PowerShell scripting, Chef) Nice to Haves No. of Specialists to Evaluate 5 Cultural Fit Criteria Be generous with their knowledge and a natural coach and mentor for colleagues Be comfortable defining their own workplan Be willing to get involved at every level.
