Integrated Family Support Service for Hammersmith & Fulham

It has been a little while now since we met at the market engagement event in February and we thought it would be helpful to update you on the latest progress for the programme. The planned programme for the integration of Children’s services through the creation of a Joint Venture company remains very much a part of our plans and was approved by Cabinet last month. Further news is that the Health and Wellbeing Board recently endorsed the potential for the Family Support Service to act as a provider vehicle for shared family support pathways, which extend beyond the services shared with you in February. We are now working on the details of this potential widening of the scope for the Joint Venture. As a result of these developments, we need to complete further work to move the programme to a place where we can launch a competitive process with as much clarity as possible. This inevitably means that we need to delay the Joint Venture procurement process until we have confirmed the final scope of services. We continue to welcome informal conversations, following the market event, to help shape our emerging plans. We will also plan to run some informal sessions later in the summer, once we have more information to share. We still intend to put in place Family Support Service Locality Contract arrangements, as explained in February. These contract/s will be to deliver services, which will later become sub-contract arrangements of the appointed Joint Venture Company. These contractual arrangements will be subject to a discrete procurement process which is planned to commence in summer 2017
