Tender description

Glasgow City Council's vision for homelessness is to prevent homelessness where possible and when it does occur, alleviate it with as little disruption to the lives of service users as possible. The service being tendered will provide access to private rented sector accommodation for households assessed as being homeless or threatened with homelessness. The council invites tender bids for the provision of private sector accommodation to households who are assessed as being homeless or threatened with homelessness who are unable to raise a rent deposit. They will also provide private sector accommodation on a temporary basis to homeless households, whilst GCC Community Homelessness Services assists individuals and families to develop long term solutions to their housing needs and additional support needs they may have. The contract for this service will be managed by GCC Social Work Services Homelessness Commissioning Team via the Council's Contract Management Framework (CMF) which outlines the approach taken to achieve effective contract management across all client groups for care and support services.
