Tender description

The City of Bradford Metropolitan District Council (the Council) is seeking tenders from Electrical Material Suppliers who are interested in gaining approval onto a framework agreement for supplying these products. The framework is split into 2 lots and suppliers can tender for either 1 or both lots. Lot 1. Ad Hoc Maintenance Materials and Van Stock For Ad Hoc Maintenance Materials the Council is seeking to appoint 4 suitable suppliers. For Van Stock, out of the 4 suppliers selected, on an annual basis the Council will appoint 1 suitable supplier to supply Van Stock. Lot 2. Projects Materials The Council is seeking to appoint 6 suitable suppliers who will be required to deliver direct to site. The Councils Building Services Reactive Maintenance Team undertake all repairs within Council buildings across the Bradford District, they, along with other Council departments require the ability to collect electrical equipment directly from suppliers. The Council requires suppliers with branches across the district to enable collection of materials in the most expedient manner keeping costs and time-scales to a minimum. If you do not currently have a branch within the district please ensure that before submitting a tender you have started the process to ensure that if successful you will have a branch to open in time for the start of this framework agreement. The majority of electrical items required for projects require the supplier to deliver direct to site. Sites will usually be situated within the Bradford District (but occasionally could be outside the district) at Council owned public buildings and schools and materials required include but are not limited to wiring accessories, distribution, containment, lighting, lamps, fixings, ventilation, cable, LED lights and batteries. For each project the Council will run a mini competition exercise via www.YORtender.co.uk, inviting all suppliers to quote against a specification for each project. Each time the successful quotation will be the best pricing for that project and an acceptable delivery/lead time.
