Development Master plan for Strategic Growth Option 3

Tender description

The Council wishes to appoint a consultant to undertake a master plan for a strategic development location, to form a part of the evidence for the Local Plan and act as a tool for engagement with the community and other interested parties. The development will create new communities with a mixture of new homes, employment, services and open spaces. The consultant will prepare a concept master plan which takes into account environmental and other constraints and sets out a spatial vision and urban design framework to create a high quality development and sense of place (including indicative development form, density, layout, movement strategy, green infrastructure), a land budget, design codes, and delivery / implementation strategy. The consultant will help the Council engage with the developers, statutory agencies and communities. The Council aims to appoint a consultant by early June. The consultant will be asked to produce a draft concept master plan by the end of August, help with engagement in the Autumn and produce a final master plan by February 2018.
