Tender description

VIVID Homes is a new organisation formed from the recent merger between Sentinel Housing Association and First Wessex. VIVID are looking to procure new ICT Desktop Infrastructure. Please see the tender documents for more details. The time-lines for delivery schedules are very tight due to deadlines set out in the tender documents. This tender sets out VIVID's key requirements to ensure the new organisation has a desktop infrastructure that is high quality and provides a good user experience. Existing desktop infrastructure is based on thin client architecture, with Citrix XenApp providing server hosted desktops to staff with Linux based thin clients on the desk. We require new hardware and supporting infrastructure that will provide a fast desktop start-up and user log-on/log-off with highly responsive Windows experience. As this is a significant architecture change for the organisation we require assistance in the design and deployment of this. Once in place we require the tools to enable easy management of devices, security and applications installed on them, and to deploy new desktops. Full details are provided in the specification. VIVID are looking to procure approximately 360 units ordered at key intervals. The first order will be placed on 24.5.2017 after the required standstill period. The process will be conducted as an Accelerated Open Procedure of PCR 2015.
