Tender description

Islington Council wishes to install external wall insulation to 285 system-built concrete high rise properties using rainscreen cladding and 19 low rise properties of a similar construction using render cladding. The contract will also include the conversion of the ground floor of one high rise block into flats and internal communal decorations at another. The contract period will be for 60 weeks from an estimated start date 19/07/2017. Contract Value The estimated total value of this contract is £5.3m over the maximum 60 weeks term of the contract. However the Council is confident the bids received will be lower than the estimated value. Award criteria The contract will be awarded to the Most Economically Advantageous Tender (MEAT) in accordance with the Public Contracts Regulations. MEAT for this contract is quality 40% and cost 60%. Further details will be provided in the invitation to tender.
