Special-purpose mobile containers

Please note this is not the start of a procurement process. A separate contract notice will be published to cover this requirement. Prior to commencing a formal procurement process and to help inform our strategy requirements, NHSBT is seeking to engage with suppliers who are able to maintain, repair and replace, where necessary, their existing fleet of va-Q-tec long journey transport containers. Suppliers will need to provide a complete and ongoing maintenance, repair and replacement service of both the inner container and outer cover to the current specification. The supplier will also need to provide a collection and delivery service to a nominated NHSBT site for containers which require maintenance, repair or replacement. The containers will need to be maintained to the standards required by NHSBT (to be defined) and will include quality monitoring and thermal image testing at specified intervals to satisfy regulatory requirements. NHSBT would like to consult the market to improve our knowledge of all current offers available in the market place, identify further opportunities and, potential issues, and gauge market interest in the proposed service.
