EirGrid is the Transmission System Operator in Ireland. As part of our remit, we operate the flow of power on the grid and plan for its future. In this capacity we develop new projects to meet required demands. As part of this process we are required to access lands to install new infrastructure or to upgrade the existing infrastructure. In carrying out these requirements, we often require the services of a specialist land and property valuation consultant. The consultant is required to provide independent advice to facilitate EirGrid’s interaction and negotiation with landowners throughout the Republic of Ireland. EirGrid intends to establish a single supplier Framework Agreement for the provision of these services. Once the Framework Agreement is in place, and as and when requirements arise, contracts will be awarded to the framework member either on the basis of the original tenders submitted or after discussing a scope of work, agreeing on a fixed price and issuing a Purchase Order to the framework member. No work should be undertaken without a valid Purchase Order. Any invoice received which does not quote a valid Purchase Order number will be returned to the framework member. Admission to the Framework Agreement does not guarantee the award of any contract to the member and award of contracts under the framework will be strictly at EirGrid’s discretion. While it is intended to use the framework for the procurement of requirements falling within its scope during its lifetime, EirGrid reserves the right to conduct a separate competition for the procurement of any requirement. In this event no advantage or disadvantage will be conferred upon the framework member(s). The Framework Agreement period will be for an initial duration of three years with the option to extend annually for up to an additional two years, subject always to the satisfactory performance of the supplier.
