Tender description

Northumberland County Council has awarded a contract to the improve the health and wellbeing of the population that live, work or are educated in Northumberland. The Service will contribute to a reduction in health inequalities amongst the population and facilitate the attainment of indicators contained within the Public Health Outcomes Framework for 2016-2019 and the Children and Young People's Health Outcomes Framework. The Integrated Wellbeing Service includes Health Trainer, Specialist Stop Smoking and other specialist Health Improvement services. Northumberland County Council has appointed a Provider to promote, support and facilitate an asset-based, community-centred approach to build capacity to improve the health and wellbeing of the County's population. This will include tackling the wider determinants of health through awareness raising of the affects of negative health behaviours, such as excessive alcohol consumption and also provide a Stop Smoking service. The procurement followed an Open Process under the Light Touch Regime of the Public Contracts Regulations 2015.
