SS16 054 Independent Fostering Commissioning Kent County Council and Medway Council held a market engagement in January 2017, to discuss the future commissioning plans for external fostering placements for children and young people up to 18 years old across Kent and Medway. Both Councils would like to invite organisations to another engagement event to be held on Monday 8th May 2017, to hear the proposed procurement route for future placements to be made with the independent fostering sector The event will focus on both Councils procurement strategy for purchasing children and family foster care placements: — By establishing a Multi-Tiered Framework Agreement, utilising the recently updated service specification and Council Terms & Conditions — By identifying and selecting new and existing providers that are suitable for partnering arrangements and are willing to become partner providers. The event will be held in Maidstone but further information including venue details and timings will be sent once we have received your expression of interest regarding attendance. Please ensure you provide the following information: — Name of Organisation — Full address details — Name of participant(s) — Email address(es) — Contact phone numbers Places at the event are limited and will be restricted to two people per organisation to ensure a wide range of views are heard. Request for places at the event must be received by 12 noon on Wednesday 3.5.2017 at the latest. Confirmation of places and venue details will be sent out on Thursday 4.5.2017. The event will be from 9:00 until 11:30, and will be held in Maidstone.
