Tender description

Telford & Wrekin Council is seeking to potentially enter into a procurement for a contract for Grounds Maintenance and Street Cleansing. This Prior Information Notice is to notify the market that the Council will be holding a market testing event on 9.6.2017 and 16.6.2017. The Council would like to hold 1 to 1 meetings with suitably experienced and interested organisations about how these services might be best provided. Organisations that would like to participate are requested to complete and submit a questionnaire by 12:00 GMT, 16.5.2017, available at www.delta-esourcing.com Telford & Wrekin Council are seeking to commence procurement for Grounds Maintenance and Street Cleansing services. The current contract will expire on 31.3.2019. The Council is therefore currently considering the full range of available options regarding the delivery of the Services. The scope will likely consist of (but not limited to) Street Cleansing services including: General Cleansing, Street Furniture, Road Sweeping, Fly Tip Removal, Litter Picking, Litter Bin/Dog Bins, Public Toilets, Pavilions, Graffiti Removal. Grounds Maintenance including: Grass Cutting, Verge Cutting, Shrub Beds, Hedges, Grass & Artificial Sports Facilities and administration, Parks, Golf Course, Play Areas, Cemeteries & Burials Service, Trees & Woodland and Public Rights of Way. Early engagement, through market testing with potential suppliers will allow the Council to shape the future contract that is mutually beneficial for both the supplier and council.
