Welfare services for children and young people

Tender description

The Councils are seeking to procure independent professional advocacy services for children and young people for whom there is a statutory entitlement. Advocacy is 1 of the key foundation stones in achieving our commitment to children's rights. We want to make sure children and young people can get help when they need it and from people that will listen to them and represent their views. Currently there are 2 contracts in operation across the Vale of Glamorgan and Cardiff Local Authorities. In addition Cardiff Council is seeking to procure an Independent Visitors Service for Looked after Children placed out of the County and a Participation Support Service. Throughout the tender process the local authorities within the region will be seeking quality, whilst maximising the efficiencies gained by the aggregation of service provision.
