Tender description

This contract is for the management of the 2 household waste recycling centres (HWRCs) within the geographical boundary of Blackburn with Darwen Borough Council. It also includes the removal of WEEE waste streams from the Council's waste transfer station at Davyfield Road, Blackburn. The aim of this contract is to provide the highest quality service for all service users and to maximise diversion of recyclables from landfill by maximising customer participation in, and availability of, re-use, recycling and recovery facilities. All council waste/cleansing services are high profile and as such are often seen by customers as the benchmark as to how well their Council is performing. Contract for the management of 2 household waste recycling centres 2016 — 2021.
