Tender description
Ofwat wishes to procure a strategic partner to help transform its support services such as HR, FM, Finance, Technology and Infrastructure (IT), Procurement, Business Support, Customer Services. We do not want to outsource all of the services. We are seeking a strategic partner to work with us on an In Source (also known as co sourcing) approach. We want to work with the partner on a 6- 12 month transformation programme to improve our processes and systems and bring them into line with the partner's processes. The strategic partner can then provide off-site (including off shore) capacity (e.g. to assist us with busy periods for the support services or to address skills gaps) on a pay as you go basis. The partner would also support us on future projects — e.g. implementation of an IT system. We believe there are other Regulators/Government Departments who could benefit from this service and so we are proposing a single supplier Framework Agreement through which they can contract. At this stage we will hold a Supplier Day to help explain the requirement and procurement process. Thus, Ofwat is hosting a Supplier Day between 10:30 and 16:30 on 15.5.2017, in Birmingham, UK. The aim of the Supplier Day will be to meet with us and discuss the approach we are taking. There will be an opportunity to meet our Chief Executive, hear about Ofwat's vision and why this contract is important, what we are looking for and the procurement process we propose. In addition to presentations there will be an opportunity to talk 121 with key individuals e.g. our Chief Executive.
