Tender description

The Council wishes to procure a provider for a Short Breaks Service. Provision of short breaks for carers is a statutory duty. Targeted schemes form part of the Council's Tier 2 provision and support the early intervention work for children and young people (up to the age of 18) with disabilities, including complex needs, and their families. The contract will be divided and commissioned in two lots; each lot providing for one age range. Prospective tenderers will be able to bid for one or both lots. Volume of provision will be on the basis of: Lot 1 — Under 11s: 20 x Saturdays per year, 40 school holiday days per year. Lot 2 — Over 11s: 20 x Saturdays per year, 40 school holiday days per year. Total contract value based on maximum contract term of 5 years. Lots 1 and 2 awarded to the same supplier.
