Translink is the brand name for Integrated Public Transport in Northern Ireland. It is comprised of three operating companies, i.e. Ulsterbus, Metro. Belfast bus services. and NI Railways. NI Railways operates 43 trainsets. DMUs. within Northern Ireland over a Route Network of approximately 200 miles. It also operates a joint, with Iarnrod Eireann, Cross Border Service, . Enterprise. Belfast to Dublin using diesel locomotive hauled trainsets. Translink requires a competent contractor to design, supply and install wheel rail adhesion enhancing sanding systems under braking on 2 carriages of each Enterprise train set during 2017 total of 8 systems.. The sanding systems must operate in conjunction with the KBRS sanding system being installed on the Class 201 locomotive.
