PP17076 - Demolition of Business Units at 1-5 Bell Street

Tender description

The demolition and removal of demolished materials off site of existing two storey buildings, including removal of foundations, vegetation and services as well as potential asbestos removal. Location: 1-5 Bell Street, Wolverhampton WV1 3PR. THE WORKS 1. The removal of asbestos from all buildings within the site; 2. The subsequent demolition of the existing buildings and all associated outbuildings, structures and features including basements, tunnels, foundations, bases sumps and floor slabs; 3. Reinstatement works. All excavations to be backfilled and fully consolidated with finely crushed hardcore or stone to the approval of the Contract Administrator to a level of 250 mm below adjoining land. On completion, the site shall be left clear, level and capped with 100mm of finely crushed hardcore and tarmacadam surfacing as specified. The Contract will be the JCT Intermediate Building Contract with contractor's design, 2011 Edition issued September 2011 incorporating Amendment 1 issued March 2015 and it should be noted that it is a requirement that tenderers are familiar with this form and have used it before. It should be noted it is the Council's intention that this requirement will be awarded to a single supplier who will be responsible for the delivery of the entire works. Keywords: Asbestos, Demolition
