MHRA - Extension to Despatch Area

The National Institute for Biological Standards and Control (NIBSC) is a multi-disciplinary scientific establishment whose purpose is to safeguard and enhance public health by standardising and controlling biological substances used in medicines. NIBSC is based in South Mimms, EN6 3QG. NIBSC has a small despatch area that needs expanding. This will be a Design & Build project with the first phase covering the complete design up to and including RIBA stage 3. The output from this stage will provide a package that will support Planning Application and submission of a tender for the build phase. The designer will be responsible for developing the design in conjunction with internal team. He / She will be responsible for all structural analysis required to provide the finished design. The designer will also review the capacity of the heating via Fan Coil Units and Radiators in this area to ensure that there is sufficient capacity to provide heating and cooling for the enlarged area.
