Tender description
Surrey County Council is committed to promoting the use of Direct Payments are monetary payments made to individuals who ask to receive one to meet some or all of their eligible care and support needs. The Care Act 2014 states that where a person meets certain conditions, the local authority must make a direct Payment to an adult or person they have nominated when requested. This proposed contract will have 2 lots: 1) Direct Payments Peer Support and Personal Assistant (PA) support service; 2) Carer One Off Direct Payment Support — making one off Direct Payments to carers and responsible adults to provide support to young carers. Providers may tender for lots 1 and 2 separately or for undertaking both lots. Supporting individuals, carers and parents with children with all aspects of managing their Direct Payment including, employing Personal Assistants and arranging support services. To facilitate use of one off carer direct payments as part of the preventative offer available from SCC and our CCG partners.
