Tender description

To provide a service to ensure the control of Legionella bacteria in water systems in accordance with the revised Approved Code of Practice for the Control of Legionella — ACOP L8, Approve Code of Practice and Guidance, British Standard BS 8580:2010 and HSG274 part 2. In addition, the contractor shall be required to carry out minor remedial repairs arising from the risk assessment survey reports. The works shall include: i) Carry out a risk assessment survey and scheme of control for each property to ascertain the possible risk of legionellosis and including legionnaires disease in the communal hot and cold water system. ii) Carry out annual inspection of each system to ensure that it reflects the risk assessment of the site and maintained in compliance with ACOPL8. iii) Carry out monthly temperature monitoring of the communal hot and cold water system. iv) Carry out microbiological testing of the hot and cold water system within cold water tank and calorifiers. v) Carry out annual servi... However it is anticipated that these works will be carried out by others.
