Tender description

Northumberland County Council has a requirement to support homeless people in Northumberland and wishes to understand what the market can offer to meet this need. It is intended that the new contract will commence in 2017 and will be issued for an initial period of 2 years. The total estimated value of the contract is 300 000 GBP over the 2 years. The information provided within Soft Market responses will be used to inform and refine the requirements of the future contract opportunity. The soft market testing questionnaire and any future tender opportunity will be advertised and published on the Procontract Procurement portal (http://procontract.due-north.com). Key issues and challenges we face are a lack of emergency/temporary accommodation for client groups with high support needs and no emergency/temporary accommodation for single people with no support needs. Therefore, Northumberland's Homelessness Service is looking to commission the following accommodation based services for homeless people in Northumberland. 1. Emergency crashpad accommodation / Direct access single male or female age 18 years and over. 2. Accommodation based support for single male or female with complex needs aged 18 Years and over. 3. Accommodation based support for single male and female with low needs aged 18-25 years.
