Tender description
Services to collect waste in the city centre. The Council has appointed an experienced Contractor to provide a service to this unique community. The Contractor will provide a cost effective service which allows city centre residents to recycle in a way which meets their needs. The Household Waste Recycling Act (2003) states that all local authorities must provide doorstep collection facilities for households to recycle at least two major forms of waste. All properties are currently provided with a collection of paper and cardboard, plastic bottles and cans and glass. The Council seeks a continuation of the existing high level service for those properties.
