Summary of the work Maintain the live service of the Genomics England Limited data models stored in the MetaData Model Catalogue. Provide hosting, development and support live releases. Latest start date 01/05/2017 Why the Work is Being Done Maintain the live service of the Genomics England Limited data models stored in the MetaData Model Catalogue or equivalent. Provide hosting, implement software updates to the model catalogue and server software to ensure a constant live service. Provide development and design consultancy to the Genomics England Limited data modelling team. Support the delivery of data model releases including publication of catalogue products and documentation. Who Are the Users You will be working with the data modelling team and the Director of Clinical Data, who are responsible for the updates to the data model contents Existing Team You will be working with the data modelling team and the Director of Clinical Data, who are responsible for the updates to the data model contents Current Phase Live Skills & Experience • Experience of hosting live web service using open source software to be used via N3 network by multiple organisations of NHS and academic nature. • Ability to setup and install working historical and live data models from Genomics England, working components and documentation for access by multiple organisations • Proven ability to ensure a secure service that meets the requirements of NHS Information Governance Toolkit level 3 • Experience of developing and extending data modelling tools that catalogue data models and the components, enabling disparate users to build against the data model including: XML, XSD, JSON delivery specifications, • Ability to provide consultancy on developing the MetaData model catalogue to extend its functionality and improve its delivery of data model components • Proven experience of building integrated clinical data models for clinical research in the field of genomic medicine • Proven experience of automated testing, Groovy/Rails, and Javascript with Angular.js. • Proven experience of developing and integrating updates into existing OpenSource software libraries to ensure a secure and functional tool. • Give evidence of regular update plans, unit and system testing routines and go-live process • If the supplier proposes to use another Open Source tool other than MetaData Model Catalogue, provide details how you will do this, chosen tool, and timescale for delivery Nice to Haves • Proven experience of developing data models using the MetaData model catalogue, in particular the Genomics England data models • Proven experience of the NHS data dictionary and its clinical data sets, including: COSD, SACT, HES, RTDS in particular • Experience of working with clinical research academic organisations and on clinical research projects would be a distinct advantage Work Location Genomics England Limited, Queen Mary University London, Dawson Hall, Charterhouse Square, London, EC1M 6BQ Working Arrangments Ensure live service of the Model Catalogue for Genomics England Limited and the 100,000 Genome Project Genomic Medicine Centres via an N3 network accessible website. Ensuring the system is live for office hours that is Monday to Friday, between 8am and 6pm. Providing consultancy on its development to extend the functionality of the model catalogue or the Genomics England data models. Ensure Model Catalogue and Server software and virus protection and security controls are all up to date.
