Market Sounding Exercise - Invoice Scanning and Data Capture Service

Kirklees Council is looking into a procurement option to put in place future contractual arrangements for suitably qualified and experienced organisations to deliver an invoice scanning and data capture service. The Council currently operate an invoice scanning and data capture service through a contracted third party supplier. The service provided comprises the collation, scanning and processing of supplier invoices, after which the invoice image and captured data is passed to our Accounts Payable (AP) system for payment. This existing agreement is due for renewal later this year. Prior to this, we wish to seek clarity from the market in terms of what other viable solutions are available to us. To support this, we would like to gain information from the market regarding a number of issues related to the potential procurement exercise. You are therefore invited to consider the programme requirements, and complete the attached questionnaire to give us your feedback on the proposed approach. This Market Sounding Exercise (MSE) IS NOTan invitation to tender or a request for formal expressions of interest. The Council, as contracting authority, is issuing this request for information only, in order to assess the reaction of the market and thus make any potential procurement process more focused and efficient.
