Tender description

The objective of the contract is the procurement of lime and fertiliser and the application by helicopter of lime seed and fertiliser to areas of moorland in the Peak District National Park and South Pennines Special Area of Conservation within the prescribed time, at the prescribed rates. 1. The objectives of this Contract are: a. The procurement of lime and fertiliser in such quantities as shall be notified; b. The storage and delivery to the Lift Site(s) of lime seed and fertiliser (the Materials) as defined below: i. ‘Lime’ — granulated Lime Fertiliser. ii. ‘Fertiliser’ — two varieties of NPK fertiliser hereafter differentiated when required as ‘Initial Fertiliser’ and ‘Maintenance Fertiliser’. iii. ‘Seed’ — a nurse crop seed mix. c. The application by helicopter of all Materials to areas of moorland in the Peak District National Park and South Pennines SAC within the prescribed time, at the prescribed rates listed herein; 2. The application areas of the Materials for the purposes of the tender shall consist of approximately 1 380.52 hectares (ha) of moorland to be treated over the contract period.
