Tender description

Background Kent County Council (the council) is the largest county council in England covering an area of 3 500 square kilometres. It has an annual expenditure of over 900 000 000 GBP on goods and services and a population of 1 300 000. The Council provides a wide range of personal and strategic services on behalf of its residents, operating in partnership with 12 district councils seven clinical commissioning groups and 289 parish/town councils. The Council has a statutory responsibility for Public Health and procures a number of services,which aim to improve the health of the population and reduce health inequalities across the county. The opportunity Kent County Council (KCC) invited providers on the Public Health DPS to tender for a contract of up to 3 years to provide an audit and update of user views for each of the Kent Joint Strategic Needs Assessment Chapters. The objective of the Kent Joint Strategic Needs Assessment is to coordinate strategic direction, effort and resource commitment of the range of public, private and voluntary/community sector organisations that work to the common goals of improving health and well-being for the population of Kent. The contract will run from 1.4.2016 for an initial period of 12 months with the potential to carry on for the period of 3 years in total.
