Tender description

The Opportunity Kent County Council sought tenders from suitably experienced contractors who could deliver a Support Service for young people who are Not in Education, Employment or Training (NEET) for all districts across the County of Kent. The NEET Support Service will provide early help and preventative support for young people in Kent to support them in Education, Employment or Training so that they can achieve better life outcomes. This will ensure that all children and young people in Kent get the best start in life. The service will need to be delivered in each of the 12 district/borough council areas of Kent County Council's operation detailed within the service specification. The NEET Support Service will form part of the Council's Early Help and Preventative Services (EHPS) provision which works to reduce the need for Specialist Children's Services (SCS) intervention and will contribute to the delivery of the Troubled Families Programme outcomes for children, young people and their families in Kent. The prospective contractor will be required to provide a suitably trained and professional workforce which will form part of the wider EHPS offer and work with individual young people who need additional support to get back into Education, Employment or Training.
