Peterborough City Council's (‘The Council’) People and Communities Directorate anticipates undertaking a procurement exercise for the provision of a new Day Opportunities Service in Peterborough. The purpose of the proposed procurement exercise will be to appoint a range of providers who can deliver a range of day opportunities of high quality across Peterborough. Due to future developments of the service, some Older Person service or other Adult Social Care Related Services may also be incorporated, increasing the budget from between 4 000 000 - 6 000 000 GBP. In order to access this opportunity you will need to register your interest at the following web address; http://tenders.supplierforce.com?973 Individuals aged 18 or above with a learning disability living in the Peterborough Unitary Authority and who funding has been agreed by the Council. They will have a range of needs, often related to multiple disability health and where a combination of specialist health and social care inputs are required to ensure the safety and well-being of the individual and the wider community. People in need of this service will require a full range of activities of daily living to participate in their community and maintain their health and physical well-being, including reablement, education and employment. Some may be at risk of harming themselves and/or pose a risk to others. Individuals aged 17-25 living in the Peterborough Unitary Authority area and whose funding has been agreed by the Council. They may include but are not limited to having additional support needs and social care input (e.g. learning or physical disability, mental health, substance misuse and Asperger's Syndrome). People in need of this service may require a full range of activities of daily living to participate in their community and maintain their health and physical well-being, including reablement, education and employment. Some may be at risk of harming themselves and/or pose a risk to others.
