Rotherham Metropolitan Borough Council (RMBC) are inviting bids from organisations who might be able to provide Services that meet RMBC's current needs for a partner to continue the operation of a successful pedal and electrically assisted cycle hire, Dr Bike, cycle training and cycle promotion project from 1.4.2017 to 31.3.2020. The project is currently run via a purpose built mobile HUB vehicle which takes public cycle hire, cycle training and Dr Bike services across the whole of the Borough to various places including: — Public sessions in areas such as town and local centres. — Private sessions at local employers' premises. — Local galas and fetes. — Neighbouring Boroughs. We need to appoint a partner who is able to provide the following services: — Managing the day to day running of the HUB. — Managing the day to day running of the cycle hire service including delivery, maintenance and collection of bicycles and basic rider training services when a bike is handed over to a participant. — Providing Dr Bike repair services at the HUB and other locations where required. — Providing cycle training sessions. — Working with partners to promote active travel.
