Tender description
This project reflects the statutory duty of local authorities to provide impartial information advice and support in health, care and education for their community, as laid out in the Children and Families Act 2014. The purpose of the Information, Advice and Support (IAS) service is to encourage partnership between parents/carers, young people and the Local Authority (LA), schools, health services and voluntary bodies in identifying, assessing and making provision for children and young people with special educational needs (SEN) and disabilities. The IAS will operate as a service which is independent from the LA, schools and health provision so that it can provide parents/carers and young people with advice which is impartial.
