Tender description

Coventry City Council requires a framework which covers the treatment of the waste types listed below. The Council will not necessarily require all of these services simultaneously. Lot 1 — Garden Waste from Coventry City Council's Collection. Lot 2 — Inert / Hardcore. Lot 3 — Food Waste only. Lot 4 — Food and green collected commingled. Lot 5 — Bulking and Transport of materials (garden, food, food and garden). Garden Waste consists mainly of material collected at the Household Recycling and Reuse Centre (HRRC). Inert material is collected from the HRRC along with materials from CCC transfer station and occasionally delivered directly from Council departments. The material will be delivered in a variety of containers including 35 and 45 cu yard Roll-on Roll-offs and various skip sizes. This would be for the disposal and treatment of green waste only should future collections be implemented. This would be for the disposal and treatment of food and green waste comingled. Coventry City Council does not currently undertake collections of food or food and garden waste collected together but it is something that may be considered in the future within the life of this contract. It may be necessary, depending on the locations of the recycling facilities for garden, food and food and garden waste streams, to provide bulking facilities and haulage of the waste streams to those recycling facilities.
