Provision of Silver Server Storage Upgrade

Please note this publication is for transparency purposes only. Joint Forces Command (JFC) were inviting bids for the Provision of Silver Server Storage Upgrades. JFC may be referred to as the ''Authority'' hereafter. JFC is part of the Ministry of Defence (MOD). The Joint Forces Intelligence Group (JFIG) Centre for Intelligence Innovation (CII) Silver Environment delivers medium-high Technology Readiness Level (TRL) Research and Development (R&D) capabilities to Defence Intelligence Fusion Centre (DIFC) and DI operational users. This is used as operational data within RAF Wyton and further afield. The CII Silver Environment has evolved over the previous four (4) years, often using loaned equipment or reusing donated equipment. The CII Silver Environment is split into two (2) major components; 1.) The Data Analytics Cluster (currently being delivered by a Contractor) and; 2.) The Virtualisation Environment. The Virtualisation Environment consists of four (4) servers (3 purchased and 1 loaned) and two (2) storage arrays (both donated). The storage arrays are too small and too slow to meet the current operational requirements, in particular the automated processing of imagery. Therefore there is a requirement to upgrade the storage arrays.
