Tender description

The Trust provides ophthalmology services across all 3 main hospital sites in Scunthorpe, Grimsby and Goole. These services are provided with the Outpatients department, Theatres and Day Surgery units. The Trust requires support to ensure compliance with the requirements of the 18 weeks referral to treatment process. The successful supplier will provide clinical support for all new, routine procedures throughout the patient pathway, this excludes paediatric services and urgent new referrals. The Trust has the following annual referral rates (excluding paediatric referrals): Diana Princess of Wales Hospital, Grimsby: 4 487 Scunthorpe General Hospital: 4 636 Goole District Hospital: 1 384 The Trust currently has 870 patients who have not been seen within the 18 weeks of referral. The provider will provide services on all 3 of the Trust sites and it will be at the Trust's sole discretion where these services take place. This will always be with the aim of providing services to patients at their local hospital site.
