Tender description

This is a Prior Information Notice by NHS Medway CCG to providers of non-obstetric ultrasound services. While this notice is for information only it also has the objective of generating interest in the market for the delivery of the service in future. The diagnostic test for direct access to non-obstetric ultrasound service is currently under AQP arrangements with approximately 18 providers awarded the AQP contract on a North Kent and West Kent basis in 2012/13. Only 10 of the 18 AQP providers have been used in the Medway CCG area. An interim agreement is now in place until 31.3.2018 to allow for development of a new service model and procurement process. The CCG will undertake a review of the existing provision and inform the market of its procurement intentions beyond the expiration of the exiting contract arrangements.
