The purpose of this PIN is to understand the current market place and the range of technologies available for Velocity Flow Instruments. Veloctiy Flow Instruments may be required for the following applications: — Open channel flow instruments which do not require a flume; — Partially filled pipe flow meters; — Insertion type ultrasonic flow meters. The UU Operational Technology department has a clear role to ‘ensure that infrastructure is in place to automate, monitor and remote control our field assets in line with operational requirements’.
