Tender description

Harrow Council invited tenders for the provision of buildings insurance for residential leasehold properties sold under Right to Buy legislation. Harrow Council arranges buildings insurance on behalf of leaseholders for approximately 1 150 properties that have been sold under Right to Buy legislation. The properties to be insured are located at various addresses throughout the London Borough of Harrow. The majority of homes are on small estates, consisting of traditionally built family houses and low-rise flats. There are no Council-owned high-rise flats. The number of leasehold properties may increase or decrease during the term of the contract as tenants purchase properties under Right to Buy legislation or existing leaseholders exercise their right to enfranchisement.
