Tender description

The primary objectives of the contract are: 1) to monitor most UK breeding bird populations, and to identify population trends, and the likely demographic mechanisms and environmental causes of these changes; 2) to assess and monitor passage and wintering water-bird populations at the site, country and UK level, and to identify population trends, and the probable reasons and causes of these; 3) to contribute to the fulfilment of the UK's national and international reporting obligations with respect to bird surveillance and monitoring; 4) to disseminate data and information collected to the public, conservation practitioners, governmental decision makers and others.
