Tender description

Swindon Borough Council invites expressions of interest from suitably qualified and experienced service providers for the provision of Adult Community Learning to deliver courses that will achieve the strategic priorities of the SBC Adult Community Learning Plan 2017-20. The commission is divided into 7 Lots comprising of three Lot ranges: Lot 1 to 3 Getting Started: short non accredited courses to engage learners. Lot 4 to 6 Getting Ready: longer non accredited courses to build resilience, punctuality, and attendance (work skills) and Lot 7 Moving On: more formal longer accredited courses in preparation for work, e.g. accredited Technical skills, English, Maths. The contract(s) will be initially for a period of 12 months commencing 1.8.2017 with options to extend for a further 2 options of 12 months, (a maximum total of 36 months) subject to satisfactory contact performance and continued grant funding. Lot 1: Getting Started: Non-accredited courses in this lot are limited to sector based Introduction to work, 10 hours (minimum) to 15 hours (maximum). Maximum individual contract value of up to 25 000 GBP plus option to apply for crèche up to 15 % of contract value. Lot 2: Getting Started: Non-accredited courses in this lot are limited to Helping your child with English, Maths, 10 hours (minimum) to 15 hours (maximum), maximum individual contract value of up to 20 000 GBP plus option to apply for crèche up to 15 % of contract value. Lot 3 :Getting Started: Non-accredited courses in this lot are limited to Life Skills and/or Health and well-being,10 hours (minimum) to 15 hours (maximum), maximum individual contract value of up to 20 000 GBP plus option to apply for crèche up to 15 % of contract value. Lot 4: Getting Ready: Non-accredited courses in this lot are limited to non accredited English (not ESOL), Maths and IT for life and work, 20 hours (minimum) to 30 hours (maximum), maximum individual contract value of up to 35 000 GBP plus option to apply for crèche up to 15 % of contract value. Lot 5: Getting Ready: Non-accredited courses in this lot are limited to ESOL, 20 hours (minimum) to 30 hours (maximum), maximum individual contract value of up to 20 000 GBP plus option to apply for crèche up to 15 % of contract value. Lot 6: Getting Ready: Non-accredited courses in this lot are limited to Health and well-being, 20 hours (minimum) to 30 hours (maximum),maximum individual contract value of up to 20 000 GBP plus option to apply for crèche up to 15 % of contract value. Lot 7: Moving On: Accredited courses in Employability, English, Maths and IT, hours dependent upon qualification guidelines, Formula Funded, Max contract value is 36 000 GBP (10 % management fee will be deducted on payment).
