Steps to Work are looking for 2 organisations to deliver community based soft skills development — related activities and/or employability — related activities to support participants who are unemployed or economically inactive in any district (Tamworth, Cannock, Lichfield and East Staffordshire). The programme is funded by the Big Lottery and the EU European Social Fund. Steps to Work is seeking 2 organisations to join it and its existing partners to deliver the Building Better Opportunities Programme in Staffordshire. The Programme involves helping those who are unemployed, but want to get back into work, prepare for work, make the most of their skills and abilities and provide support to overcome any barriers by offering a variety of services tailored to individual needs. The services may include: 1. information, advice and guidance on careers and skills. 2. training to help with things like confidence building and motivation. 3. CV writing support and guidance. 4. Job search support. 5. Support with interview preparation. 6. Public internet access for job search and training activities. 7. Information, advice and guidance on training and education opportunities. 8. Support to develop new skills.
