Tender description
Swindon Borough Council invites expressions of interest from suitably qualified and experienced service providers for the provision of an earthworks contract for the relocation of stockpile materials at Wichelstowe, Swindon. Project Description Movement of circa 15,300m³ stockpiled material within the Swindon Borough Council-owned Wichelstowe site. The works will comprise: • Hand picking of two stockpiles prior to their movement to another part of the Wichelstowe site • Disposal of the hand-picked materials • Re-stockpiling material in a different location to the south of the site; the new stockpile is to be free from large voids, stable, and sealed off from adverse weather conditions. • Placement of a haul road between stockpile locations Full details relating to the Works are provided in the tender documents. Contract Period The works must be completed by 31st May 2017. The relevant tender documents are included within this project webpage as attachments. Questionnaire/ Tender Responses are required to be submitted no later than 16:00 hours on 6th April 2017 If you require any clarifications on the tender documents please submit these in writing via e-mail, including the project name clearly in the e-mail title, to rpowe@swindon.gov.uk by 4th April 2017. The Council's responses to these clarification questions will be uploaded as attachments on the project webpage attachments section. Therefore it is the Contractor's responsibility to check the site regularly for updates to clarifications, as you will not be advised when updates have been made. Please note that this project has been advertised on Contracts Finder, however, Supplying the South West Portal is the only portal that includes all the relevant documents required to respond to this opportunity.
