Tender description

The University of Sheffield tendered on behalf of the Department of Materials Science and Engineering for an Inductively Coupled Plasma-Mass Spectrometer system. The procurement has now been completed, no further expressions of interest are being sought nor can be accepted. An inductively coupled plasma-mass spectrometer system capable of analysing low concentration analytes in solution. Because the range of materials tested for their durability is diverse, the analyte concentrations will range from very low (ppt) with a relatively low background solution matrix (e.g. Ce or U dissolution experiments in nitric acid) to medium (10s to 100s of ppm) in water or high background matrices.
