Swindon Borough Council invites expressions of interest from suitably qualified and experienced service providers for the provision of supported housing for people with a learning disability. To provide short term housing to people with a learning disability and support to develop life skills ready for independent living. The contract is for an initial period of 3 years with 2 options to extend, each being 2 years. The estimated budget is 70 000 GBP to 93 000 GBP per annum, with a total budget including all options for extension of 490 000 GBP to 651 000 GBP. Swindon Borough Council is seeking to commission housing and support for up to 40 people with a learning disability in Swindon, at any one time. The contract is for an initial period of 3 years with 2 options to extend, each being 2 years. The estimated budget is 70 000 GBP to 93 000 GBP per annum, with a total budget including all options for extension of 490 000 GBP to 651 000 GBP. The purpose of this service is to provide housing and support for people who cannot maintain independent living but whose support needs do not necessitate residential or nursing care. The overall aim of this service is to provide the service users with the skills and confidence to enable them to move on to and maintain independent living with little or no ongoing support.
