Provision of a Promoting Resilience Programme in school-aged children

NHS Arden & Greater East Midlands Commissioning Support Unit is conducting a procurement exercise on behalf of West Leicestershire Clinical Commissioning Group (WL CCG), East Leicestershire & Rutland Clinical Commissioning Group (ELR CCG) and Leicester City Clinical Commissioning Group (LC CCG) to seek a suitably qualified and experienced organisation to provide a Promoting Resilience Programme in school-aged children. Our local LLR Future in Mind Transformational plan as agreed by NHS England in 2015 aspires to prevent mental illness from developing and to build emotional health and resilience in the children and young people of Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland (LLR). The plan promises to promote and protect children and young people’s mental health and wellbeing and through working with schools (staff and pupils) to raise awareness on mental health issues. The elements will necessitate good engagement and collaborative working with all schools in LLR to deliver a service modelled on the 8 principles of the ‘Promoting children and young people’s emotional health and wellbeing, A whole school and college approach'. The service will be split into 2 lots: for Leicester City schools and for Leicestershire County and Rutland schools. The budget allocated for this programme is £100,000 equally split between the 2 lots.
