Passport Production and Associated Services Contract

Tender description

Due to the upcoming expiry of its current passport design, print, assembly and personalisation contract, the Contracting Authority is commencing a procurement in respect of a new contract for passport production and associated services, to include but not be limited to; - Design, print, assembly and personalisation of the UK Passport and its Variants; - Design, print, assembly and/or personalisation of other secure travel documents, including Emergency Travel Documents on behalf of the Foreign and Commonwealth Office. The Contracting Authority issues over 6 000 000 passports annually (with passport Variants accounting for circa 1.2 % of volumes) and is the only provider of passports to British citizens living anywhere globally. The UK passport is a secure travel document which contains many world leading security features; the integrity of which allows British Citizens to travel without a visa to a large number of countries. Please note, the estimated total value is based on the current unit prices and forecast volumes for this contract. The estimated total contract value is in the region of 490 000 GBP (at 2017 prices and excluding VAT). The Authority is not responsible for any bidding costs incurred by potential suppliers in respect of this procurement. The Authority reserves the right to abandon the competitive process and not award any contract; make any changes it sees as reasonable to the competition; remove and/or amend element(s) from the scope of the requirements; and accept or reject any tender.
