Summary of the work Provide technical direction and architectural governance for Office 365 and other Microsoft capabilities on FCO Services platforms. Develop iterative technical design documentation to aid the delivery of Office 365 components including but not limited to Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, and their inclusion into FCO Services Product and Services portfolio. Specialist role Technical Architect Expected Contract Length 120 days Latest start date 17/04/2017 Who Speclialist Work With You'll lead the technical design and implementation within a larger technical development team. You'll work with Technical Architects, Service Delivery Managers, Commercial and Product Managers. Develop iterative technical design documentation to aid the delivery of Office 365 components including but not limited to Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, and their inclusion into FCO Services Product and Services portfolio. Skills & Experience • Current valid Security Clearance to SC level • Experience of architecting Windows Active Directory for Public Sector • Experience of architecting Windows Active Directory Migrations for Public Sector • Experience of architecting Office 365 for Public Sector • Experience of architecting Hybrid Identities and Federation Services for Public Sector • Experience of migrating Public Sector to Office 365; Specifically Exchange Online and SharePoint Online • Experience of architecting Windows 10 for Public Sector • Experience of leading technical resources including architects across multiple disciplines • Experience of creating and delivering presentations to all stakeholders Nice to Haves • Experience of VMware and Azure virtualisation technologies to an architectural level • Lead technical assurance panels such a Technical Design Authority • Experience of architecting and implementing ExpressRoute for Office 356 and Azure Work Location Milton Keynes with occasional travel elsewhere in UK Working Arrangments You'll work within a larger technical development team. There are regular face-to-face updates. What is maximum day rate? Price is one of the selection criteria for this opportunity 2. Can more than one candidate per supplier be submitted yes 3. Will this role be within IR35? No 4. Any other security clearance be considered? No 5. What is the lead time for feedback once the application is submitted? The timings are as published, we will endeavour to turn this around as quickly as we can. Latest start date is 17th April, but we would like it sooner. 6. What is the situation on the day rate that is looking to be paid? As above, price is weighted at 60% for the evaluation of responses 7. We note that you have said that more than one candidate per supplier can be submitted. Given that the Digital Marketplace portal allows for only a single submission how can this be done ? We can only operate within the constraints of the portal. Its a Beta, maybe the next version will improve on this. 8. Will individuals be automatically discounted if the have not delivered O365 projects within the public sector, even if they hold current SC clearance and are very competitively priced? We will consider all candidates skills and experience, public sector experience has a higher weighting. 9. Is there somebody occupying this role currently? This is a new workpackage to replace the existing workpackage, applications from all suppliers will be considered carefully. 10. i there is any chance of remote work for this requirement please? Unfortunately there is a requirement for face to face meetings periodically
