The London that we police has and will continue to change. The ways in which criminals carry out crime has also changed. We face a growing number of threats in countering terrorism, tackling cyber-criminality and the need to protect vulnerable people. Public and political perceptions of what is and isn't a crime and what they expect the police to do about them has changed. To meet these challenges and to face future threats, we need to equip our people with the right skills and capabilities, we need to be even more innovative and agile, and to look and feel like the Londoners we serve.
